A tuition-free program for Delaware students
Delaware College Scholars (DCS) is a free, multi-year program that helps high-achieving public school students in Delaware get into competitive four-year colleges and universities—and succeed once they’re there. No matter your background, DCS provides the tools and support you need to reach your goals.
The program begins the summer after you finish 9th or 10th grade. If you’re accepted, you’ll spend part of each summer, through the rest of high school, living on a college campus. This experience is designed to be both exciting and challenging. During the program, you will:
- Take college-level courses to prepare for academic success in college.
- Live in a dorm to experience what it’s like to be on a college campus.
- Work with DCS staff to navigate the college application process, including finding scholarships and financial aid to make college affordable.
One of the best parts of DCS is the support you receive even after high school. Once you’ve been accepted to college, DCS stays by your side. You’ll have mentors and college advisors to help you stay on track to graduate, manage challenges, and make the most of your college experience.
This program is a great opportunity for students who are serious about going to college and want guidance every step of the way—from high school to college and beyond.
